Agbo Visits Abuja Orphanage, Donates to Orphans

Conscious of the humble circumstance of his birth and upbringing, Deputy National Secretary hopeful at the much anticipated December 9th Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Emmanuel Agbo yesterday, 23rd November, 2917 paid a visit to the Victorine Home for Children at Gwarimpa Estates, Abuja.

The essence of the visit, which is a thing he does occasionally was not for any special celebration as associated with birthdays or anniversaries but to see how the children were faring and to strengthen the courage of those looking after them to keep up the good work. During the visit, the former two time PDP chairman for Benue State made a donation to the orphans which he preferred to remain undisclosed.

Speaking with the keepers of the home, Agbo in unequivocal words insisted that, among the children were future leaders of the society in various capacities and so deserved optimum care and attention from the society. “I see in you captains of industry, lawyers, doctors, architects, successful business moguls as well as sound political leaders”, he said.

In response to the kind gesture, prayers were said for good health and long life for the children of the home and Dr Agbo and his family by a Reverend Sister who is one of the managers of the home.

High point of the visit was the cutting, sharing and consumption of cake and drinks as well taking of photographs. The mood was clearly one of excitement as the children bore impressionable smiles on their faces.
