Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has dragged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to court over infringement of his fundamental human rights.
The EFCC had stormed Obanikoro’s family residences in Ikoyi Lagos, on Tuesday harassing his wife, innocent kids and other family members as well as carting away cars, wristwatches and other valuable items.
In a suit filed on his behalf by his counsels, led by Chief Ogwu Onoja, SAN at the Federal High Court, Lagos, Obanikoro is seeking an order of the court to set aside the forceful seizure of his properties by the EFCC.
He is also claiming damages against the EFCC to the tune of N100 million.
