South Korea announced Thursday night that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is extending an invitation to meet with US President Donald Trump.
South Korean National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong announced that the North Korean leader has requested to meet Trump as soon as possible, accepting also to embark on denuclearization. He also disclosed that President Trump has accepted to meet Kim Jong Un in May.
Earlier Thursday, President Trump announced that South Korea would be making a “major statement” about North Korea at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
