Buhari Leaves Saudi for UK

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday departed Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for the United Kingdom after he successfully performed the lesser Hajj, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

NAN reports that Buhari left Makkah for Jeddah at about 1.30pm (local time) while his presidential aircraft took off for London at 3.05pm.

NAN reports that before performing the Umrah, the President attended the three-day Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh from October 29 to 31.

Buhari on Wednesday held bilateral talks with King Salman in Riyadh during which both leaders committed to deeper partnership, especially in the areas of oil and gas for the development of both countries.

“President Buhari and the Crown Prince agreed that the first assignment for the Council was to establish a legal and operational framework that would facilitate investments beneficial to both countries,” presidential spokesman Garba Shehu had said in a statement on Thursday.
