Chelsea Legend Frank Lampard Receives OBE at Buckingham Palace
Former England international Frank Lampard admitted he was ‘humbled’ after being honoured with an OBE by Prince William for his services to football.
The ceremony took place at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday and the ex-Chelsea star chatted to the Duke of Cambridge as he received the medal.
The New York City midfielder was joined by fiancee Christine Bleakley and his two daughters, Isla and Luna, as they posed for photographs.
Frank Lampard has no doubts that Chelsea will soon return to winning ways because under-fire manager Jose Mourinho ‘is a winner.’
The 37-year-old midfielder was speaking after he received his OBE from Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge.
Chelsea are currently experiencing their poorest start to a Premier League season for over a decade, having lost five of their opening 10 matches and are down in 15th spot – 11 points adrift of leaders Manchester City.
