Bayern Munich fullback David Alaba is interesting Chelsea.
The Guardian says Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants to sign a new left-back this summer – and has set his sights high.
Conte has told Roman Abramovich, Chelsea’s owner, he is keen to sign Alaba of Bayern Munich or Juventus’s Alex Sandro.
Bayern resisted a massive offer of over €50 million for Alaba last summer from Real Madrid.
Conte is close to signing a new contract but wants assurances Chelsea are willing to spend big in the coming transfer windows to have a squad capable of challenging in the Champions League. Chelsea did not play in Europe this season.
