FG Designates Air Peace For Six Foreign Routes

Air Peace says it has been designated by the Federal Government to operate flight services to six international destinations.

The airline said based on this, it had concluded plans to acquire more aircraft, including Boeing 777s, to beef up its fleet and service its long-haul routes.

“The airline, which launched its regional operations with its maiden flight to Accra, Ghana on February 16, 2017, has been designated by the Federal Government to fly into Johannesburg, London, Atlanta, Mumbai, Dubai and Guangzhou,” the airline’s Corporate Communications Manager, Chris Iwarah, said in a statement on Thursday.

Iwarah said the airline had commenced Boeing 777 training for its pilots in preparation for the international flights.

He added, “Air Peace has given its plan to launch itself on the international route a big push with the training of four of its pilots in the handling of Boeing 777 aircraft. The training, which took place at the Boeing Training Centre in the United Kingdom, was the first by any Nigerian airline.”
