Marco Rubio did not win the 2016 Iowa caucuses. When he got up to speak to supporters on Monday, he was running at third — a little behind Donald Trump, and a lot behind caucus winner Ted Cruz.
But you wouldn’t know it from his speech.
Rubio did much better than the polls predicted he would. Going into New Hampshire, he’s performing much better than any of the other “establishment” candidates.
The media has been predicting a Rubio “surge” for months.
In his speech Monday night, he took a swipe at Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders maintaining that a vote for either of them means a vote for a declining America.
