‘I am Still Fully in PDP’, Benue Lawmaker Ojobo Declares

Contrary to claims by the Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the member representing Ogbadibo State Constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Joseph Ojobo decamped to the APC on Saturday, the lawmaker has cleared the air over rumours that he has defected from the PDP.

Ojobo who addressed journalists in his residence on Friday said he was fully with the PDP and had no intentions of leaving the umbrella party noting that his wealth of experience is needed to build and revamp the party.

“When your house is messed up, the rational thing to do is, to stay and tidy up the mess, and make it habitable”, Ojobo said.

The Owukpa-born vibrant legislator who was recently nominated for the award of ‘Outstanding Idoma Lawmaker of the year’, for his effrontery in defending the dignity of Idoma nation against all odds, said there was a need for a strong opposition as everyone cannot belong to one party in a democratic arrangement.
