In documents made available to SIGNAL on Wednesday, Mr. Omojuwa pleaded innocence in the allegations of defamation against him.

The defendant told an Abuja Federal High Court through his lawyer that he never at anytime defamed Mr. Adeyanju.

Mr. Deji Adeyanju, the plaintiff is seeking damages awarded to the tune of N50, 000,000. Mr. Adeyanju had sued Mr. Omojuwa for defamation in May 2015.

The case of defamation against Mr. Omojuwa is partly connected to a story published by him (Mr. Omojuwa) in May 2014.

Although in his defence, Mr. Omojuwa accepted that he published a story titled “Deji Adeyanju Linked With Murder: Jonathan’s Aide, Doyin Okupe’s Associate Linked With Murder”, he denied that the article was written to defame Mr. Adeyanju.
