A five member delegation from Kenya is in Accra on a two day visit to under study Ghana’s National Service scheme.
The delegation is led by the Administrative Secretary at the State Department for Post Training and Skills development of the Kenyan Ministry of Education.
The Deputy Executive Director of National Service Scheme, Dr Gifty Oware Aboagye, at a meeting with the delegation said government’s approach to tackling Youth unemployment is incomparable in Africa.
She said the Nation Builders Corps, Youth Employment Agency, the Youth Enterprise Support and the Establishment of the National Youth Authority are interventions to manage youth unemployment.
Administrative Secretary at Kenya’s State Department For Post Training and Skills Development Lucy Mulili, expressed satisfaction at interventions by the government of Ghana in tackling youth unemployment.
The delegation also visited some projects sites of the National Service Scheme including; the Papao Demonstration farm and the Nungua farm.
