Madonna has celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Malawi hospital wing she helped open by visiting the facility with all of her children.

The singer recently took Lourdes Leon, 21, Rocco Ritchie, 17, Mercy James and David Banda, both 12, and five-year-old twins Estere and Stelle to visit the Mercy James Center for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care in Blantyre.

The 59-year-old shared images of the trip on Instagram on Monday, including a rare snap showing her with all of her children, posing in front of a mural in the lobby of the hospital.

“Tree of Life…. Mercy James Pediatric Hospital! One Year Later! #everythingislove #malawi,” she captioned the photo.

She also posted a snap of herself in scrubs alongside one of the surgeons, posting, “In my Scrubs in the Mercy James ICU (intensive care unit) ward with my hero Dr. Borgstein #savinglives 1,639 surgeries this year.”

Last year, the Like a Prayer hitmaker and her children, aside from Lourdes, were present for the initial opening of the hospital unit, which she helped fund through her Raising Malawi Foundation.

Madonna first visited the African nation 12 years ago – when she adopted David. She later returned to adopt Mercy, Estere and Stelle.
