Miyetti Allah to Tackle Insecurity in South-East

The Northern Leaders, Livestock and Perishable Goods Market Traders and Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria have decided to ban herdsmen whose families are not living in the South-East from cattle grazing in the zone.

They also declared to shut down four livestock and perishable goods markets in Enugu State from Wednesday to Thursday to enable them to embark on a sensitisation tour of markets and the 14 Fulani settlements in the state.

The South-East Chairman of MACBAN, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, who addressed reporters after their meeting in Enugu on Saturday, said the move was aimed at checking criminal activities in the state.
