N12 Million, Not N300 Million Stolen From My House – Saraki

Senate President Bukola Saraki

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, yesterday denied reports that N300 million cash was stolen from his Ilorin residence in Kwara State, saying, only N12 million was stolen.

An online news platform (not SIGNAL) had at the weekend reported that N300 million was stolen from his bedroom in Ilorin.

But in a statement, Saraki said his home in Ilorin was burgled two weeks ago and N12m was stolen. Saraki in the statement signed by his media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu, said the unknown persons broke into the safe in the Administrative Office and stole the money.
He said the incident had since been reported to the police who are investigating it.
