New Super Eagles Coach Rohr to Return to France, NFF Yet to Fix Accommodation

Newly appointed coach of the Super Eagles Genort Rohr may begin his stint with the Super Eagles with argument as he is yet to be given the accommodation he was promised by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as contained in his contract.

The German was expected in Nigeria on Monday night, ahead of his first training session with the team on Tuesday, as they begin preparations for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania this weekend.

However, Rohr might head back to France after the match, as his accommodation is not yet ready. He will head back to France after the game instead of staying behind to prosecute his plans of scouting local talents from the league in preparation for the first World Cup 2018 qualifiers tie against Zambia.

Osasu Obayiuwana who has been keeping in touch with the German, posted on twitter, a bit of the chat he had with the new Super Eagles boss, where the manager made it known that he is ready to reside in Nigeria once the accommodation is ready.

“I am looking forward to settling down in Abuja, as soon as my apartment, as promised by the NFF is arranged. I will be watching league matches across Nigeria to search for talents, in addition to using the players in Europe”, he said.
