The Niger Delta Avengers militant group says it has blown up two of Chevron Nigeria Limited’s oil wells – RMP 24 and RMP 23 – which occurred at 3.44am on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, according to the group.
In a set of tweets, the group mocked the Nigerian military saying it was only effective in the harassment of innocent civilians.
“With the heavy presence of 100 Gunboats, 4 Warships and Jet Bombers, Niger Delta Avengers blew up Chevron Oil Well RMP 23 and RMP 24 at 3:44am this morning.
“This is to show the whole world that Nigerian military is good in harassing innocent civilians. RMP 24 and RMP 23 are Chevron Swamp Highest producing Wells. #Boom,” the group said.
