Pastor Oyemade Makes Case for ‘Dead’ Capital for Economic Development

Convener, The Platform, and Pastor, Covenant Christian Church, Mr. Poju Oyemade on Thursday advocated for the need to explore the potentials in untapped and unexplored capital in the quest for growth, irrespective of the challenge posed by the volatility in the price of crude oil.

In a press conference in Abuja on the forthcoming The Platform programme fixed for April 30, Oyemade said development had always come by finding capital in places that people once overlooked, and that the present economic travail had presented an opportunity for people to think outside of the box.

According to him, “The whole world is reaching for new economic and political paradigms.”

He added that the forthcoming The Platform event, with the theme “Nigeria, What is in your hand? Tapping into dead capital”, has nation building as its vision, public education and enlightenment as its tool.
