Buhari Appoints Ibrahim Idris As Acting IGP, Commends Arase

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Ibrahim Kpotun Idris, as the new acting Inspector General of Police.

Idris’ appointment follows the retirement of Solomon Arase as he clocks the compulsory retirement age of 60.

Until his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari, Idris served as Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of federal operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday commended the outgoing Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase for a job well done.
