Ebonyi State University’s Comrade Chinonso Obasi has emerged the elected President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), CAMPUS SIGNAL can report.
In a similar development, Comrade Taiwo Bamigbade of the Federal University of Technology, Akure is the new Senate President of the apex students’ body. The elections into the offices were held on Tuesday at the 31st NANS convention in Gombe.

Obasi was born to the family of Engr. Ogbonnaya. O. Obasi on 27th April 1987, in Ugoni Okposi, Ohaozara LGA Ebonyi State.
He Attended Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Staff Primary School (1993-1999); Federal Government college Okposi (1999-2005); Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana (2005-2010) where he became the Director of Socials, Department of Mechanical Engineering (2006); Special Adviser to the SUG Caretaker Committee Chairman (2007) and SUG President (2009/2010).
He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering Production with (Upper Credit), where he was certified commercial diver and a certified safety professional. His National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) assignment held between 2014-2015 and he is currently a Masters Student of Ebonyi State University, Ebonyi State.
