FIFTH COLUMNISTS IN APC GIVING MUTFWANG HOPE EXPOSED By APC Youth Vanguard, Plateau State Chapter

The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Vanguard, Plateau State Chapter, has been drawn to the desperate scheming of certain self-serving politicians within our great party who have chosen to mortgage party discipline and loyalty on the altar of personal gain. These individuals, acting as fifth columnists, are currently engaged in clandestine negotiations aimed at facilitating the backdoor entry of Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the APC. Their unpatriotic actions stand condemned as they threaten the unity, stability, and progress the APC has painstakingly built over the past years.

The APC in Plateau State has, under the firm guidance of our leaders, especially Senator Simon Bako Lalong and our illustrious National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, successfully rebuilt and repositioned the party for overwhelming victory in 2027. It is therefore disheartening that a few disloyal elements within our ranks are plotting to reverse these gains through underhanded political manoeuvres. These saboteurs have been identified, and their activities are now in the public domain.

We have it on unimpeachable authority that former Governor Joshua Dariye and the current APC State Chairman, Rufus Bature, have held a series of secret meetings in both Jos and Abuja with the intent to smuggle Governor Mutfwang into our great party. Their strategy, we have gathered, is to circumvent the knowledge and consent of the real leaders of the APC on the Plateau, particularly Senator Lalong and Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, while seeking the sympathy and endorsement of the Vice President of the Federation. This treacherous plan is dead on arrival.

It is equally revealing that this clique of political merchants hopes to impose Mutfwang on the APC structure in Plateau State in order to gain an upper hand and retain personal control over the party machinery. This is a gross insult to the collective intelligence and sacrifice of genuine party loyalists who have remained steadfast through thick and thin. The APC in Plateau State is not a marketplace for political opportunists but a disciplined platform built on integrity, ideology, and loyalty.

We commend former Minister Dame Pauline Tallen for rejecting the emissaries sent to her by this desperate gang. Her refusal to join their conspiracy and her wise counsel that Mutfwang should follow proper party channels through the National Chairman have exposed the dishonesty and desperation of these fifth columnists. This is the type of principled leadership and courage we expect from our senior party members.

The APC Youth Vanguard therefore condemns in the strongest possible terms this disgraceful attempt to undermine our party for selfish interests. We call on Dariye, Rufus Bature, and their accomplices to immediately desist from their unholy alliance with Governor Mutfwang or face the full wrath of the party faithful. The days of impunity and political blackmail are over in the APC.

Let it be clearly stated that the APC in Plateau State is not in crisis. On the contrary, it is waxing stronger by the day, expanding its grassroots base and consolidating its hold across all local government areas. Those who are plotting to sneak in Governor Mutfwang through the backdoor are wasting their time. The Governor’s desperation for political survival should not drag our party into unnecessary controversy.

Governor Mutfwang must also be advised that if he truly desires to join the APC, he must be ready to do so through the front door—by humbling himself to consult and negotiate with the legitimate leaders of the party, not through deceitful intermediaries who have lost their moral compass. The APC will never submit its vibrant and battle-ready structure to someone who has consistently undermined its leaders and members.

We hereby sound a clear warning to former Governor Joshua Dariye and APC State Chairman Rufus Bature: desist henceforth from this reckless adventure or face organized mass action from the APC youth across the state. We will not hesitate to mobilize our members and move for your immediate suspension and expulsion from the party if these acts of betrayal continue. The unity and survival of the APC in Plateau State are far more important than any individual’s ambition.

The APC Youth Vanguard, Plateau State Chapter, stands resolutely behind Senator Simon Bako Lalong and Professor Nentawe Yilwatda in their continued efforts to strengthen our party. We will continue to resist all forms of infiltration, sabotage, and blackmail. No amount of conspiracy can derail the renewed hope and momentum of the APC in Plateau State. Those who sow division will reap isolation, and those who betray the trust of the people will soon find themselves politically irrelevant.
