PDP Convention: APDA Calls on Aggrieved South-West Leaders to Join Its Fold

The Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Tosin Adeyanju, has decried the open bazaar that characterized the just concluded national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) describing it as unfortunate.

APDA however congratulated the PDP on the outcome of the convention.

“We as Democrats, watched with total dismay the process leading to the final selection of candidates at the just concluded convention. It is to say the least, shameful when a supposed election now turns into the coronation of a “Unity List”. By this action, the PDP has been reduced to serve the interest of a selected few. We are therefore calling on all men and women of conscience that feel betrayed by the outcome of what transpired to come and join forces with APDA to rescue our country.

“Our special appeal goes to South-West leaders and our Northern brothers that feel disappointed but believe in the ideology of APDA to join and align with us without delay”, the statement said.

“We call on leaders within the party that believe in a national party that will unite Nigeria to come on board and join forces with us to build APDA as the next alternative third force national party that will be the pride of all and promote good governance in our dear nation”, the statement added.
