FLASH | Senate Summons Adeosun, Emefiele Over Terrible State of Economy

SENATE CHAMBER DURING THE INAUGURATION OF THE 8TH NATIONAL ASSEMBLY IN ABUJA ON TUESDAY (9/6/15). 3023/9/6/2015/CH/BJO/NAN

The Senate on Wednesday, summoned the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, and the Governor,  Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, to appear before it and brief the senators on the current state of the economy, Punch reports.

This was sequel to a motion by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas,  Senator Bassey Akpan.

The upper chamber did not give the specific date that the two government officials would appear before it.
