TYRANNY | Police Seal Off Lagos Venue Where Soyinka, Falana Are to Speak

Police have sealed off the venue of a symposium where Nobel laureate Professor Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana and other speakers are to speak on the insecurity bedevilling the country.

TheCable reports that police vans were seen at strategic locations around the venue, 46 Ibijoke street, Oluyole bus-stop, Oregun, Lagos.

A police officer reportedly told a journalist with TheCable that he should leave the venue immediately.

According to reports, the programme tagged “Democracy, State Repression and the State of insecurity in Nigeria”, was organised by a group known as Coalition for Revolution (CORE).
