FG Moves to Arrest Adamu Muazu, Hassan Tukur

Kingsley Kanayo

The Department of State Security (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) may arrest former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Adamu Muazu and Hassan Tukur, Principal Private Secretary to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Others on the watch list are civil servants and powerful personalities close to Jonathan’s administration, Daily Trust reports.

The suspects will be questioned about their involvement in financial transactions relating to security and Jonathan campaign funds.

While Muazu’s case concerns utilization of public funds for PDP campaigns, Tukur will have to provide answers to monies spent on failed attempts to negotiate the release of the abducted Chibok school girls from Boko Haram.

Muazu reportedly travelled out the country a week ago.

The whereabouts of Tukur, a key kitchen cabinet member under Jonathan, is unknown.
