Youth of Iwo community in Osun State have set a police station in the town ablaze, over the alleged killing of a student by an officer of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force.

The student, identified as Tunde Nofiu, was said to have been in the town on vacation.

Punch reports that the student was shot dead on his way to Iwo from Olupona on Thursday night, which triggered the youth to action on Friday morning.

When contacted via telephone, Finihan Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police in Osun State, said he could not state exactly what happened.
