JUST IN | Appeal Court Reduces Dariye’s 14-Year Jail Term to 10 Years

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has commuted the sentence of Joshua Dariye, former Governor of Plateau State, from 14 years to 10 years.

The court held that since Dariye is a first-time offender, the 14-year jail term was excessive.

Dariye was sentenced to two-year and 14-year jail terms to be served concurrently without an option of fine in June 2018.
