Saraki Meets Osinbajo, 4 APC Governors in Aso Rock

Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and four governors of the All Progressive Congress (APC) governors at the presidential villa, Abuja.

The Senate President arrived at about 4pm and was met at the president’s forecourt by governors Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Aminu Masari (Katsina), Ibikunle Amosu (Ogun) and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi) well as Governor-elect of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi.

The four governors had waited behind after attending a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) and looked set to depart the villa as they had come down from the president’s office before Saraki arrived.

The state chief executives then went back inside the president’s office with the Senate President.

President Buhari had left the office before his arrival.

Even though it was not clear why Saraki was in the villa, it may not be unconnected with his reported plan to dump the ruling APC.

At the end of the meeting. all the participants at the meeting declined comments when approached by reporters.
