Re-run: Kwankwaso Calls for Peaceful Conduct During Saturday Election

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso of the People Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the people of Kano, cutting across political divides, to conduct themselves peacefully during the oncoming rerun election while voting for the candidate of their choice.

This was contained in a press statement signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday by a media aid to Kwankwaso, Binta Spikin.

According to the statement, “Kwankwaso believes in Kano and is concerned about the fate of its teeming youth which informed his people-oriented projects and programs when he was the Governor of Kano”

That the public should ignore all negative media articles attributed to him, especially those premised on throwing the state into chaos.

Binta said, the Senator believes that, in a free and fair election, the PDP would win, as it had previously. Hence a rerun will not in anyway hamper the fortunes of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Kwankwaso also urges security agencies to be on the look out so that the relative peace enjoyed by the State is not destroyed.
