President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to pray for the military and security agencies making sacrifices to keep the nation safe from terrorism and banditry.
The President made the call during the Eid-al-Adha prayers at the Dodan Barracks in Lagos.
Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity, love, and sacrifice, highlighting the need to support vulnerable individuals and remember the sacrifices of troops. “We must pray hard for our troops to keep us safe,” he said.
The Chief Imam of Lagos State, Suleiman Oluwatoyin Abu-Nola, also delivered a powerful message, urging Muslims to reflect on Abraham’s sacrificial life and make sacrifices for their families, nation, and community. He called for unity, peace, and a rise above ethnic sentiments.
The Eid celebration was attended by prominent figures, including ministers, government officials, and business leaders.
