Controversial social media critic and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has staged a unique protest at the FCT Minister’s gate in Abuja. The demonstration supports primary school teachers in the FCT, who have been on strike for over 90 days.
The teachers are demanding the implementation of the new national minimum wage of N70,000 by the Area Council Chairmen. The strike, which began on March 24, 2025, has disrupted the academic calendar.
VDM gathered schoolchildren dressed in uniforms and held an impromptu class, teaching them the alphabet with a twist. Using names like “S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike,” VDM sparked attention and highlighted the issue.
VDM and his friends provided the children with rice and chicken during their break, showing his commitment to the cause.
The situation is ongoing, with more details expected to emerge. The protest aims to bring attention to the teachers’ plight and push for a resolution to the strike.
