Ganduje Wants Support for Community Policing

Kano State Governor Abduallahi Ganduje on Monday called for support to ensure the success of the community policing initiative.

Ganduje made the call while inspecting over 1,000 cows and various items recovered from rustlers at Kwanar Dangora, Kano.

According to the governor, community policing will be effective in tackling insecurity.

He said he was confident that community participation would help check crime in society.

Ganduje also said crime prevention in society should be a collaborative effort of police and members of the community.

Police in the state recovered the cows after arresting three rustlers recently.

They also arrested suspected kidnappers and armed robbers when they raided Falgore forest.
