Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Idah Peterside has said the real reason for Sunday Oliseh’s resignation from the national team is because the Nigeria Football Federation started discussion with other managers behind his back, Daily Trust reports.
The ex-Maroka Swallows shot stopper in a series of twitter posts yesterday also called on all Nigerians to unite against the Glass House in the interest of the country’s football.
“The real reason Oliseh quit is that the NFF were holding meeting with other coaches to replace Oliseh and he found out. Who does things like?” Idah asked rhetorically.
“Our NFF is in a mess. It is time Nigerians start shouting from the roof top to save our football. Pls, Nigerians let us not join their politics, we have an important game against Egypt. I have said the NFF should quit now to save our football,” the Super Sport pundit wrote.
