LP Stakeholders in Abia Rally Support for Otti, Party Candidates Ahead of Elections

Stakeholders of the Labour Party in Igbere Ward B, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, have reaffirmed their support for Governor Alex Otti and pledged to work towards securing victory for the party in forthcoming elections.

The resolution was reached during a stakeholders’ meeting and courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Abia State Disability Commission and leader of Igbere Ward B stakeholders, Dr. David Anyaele.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the stakeholders commended Governor Otti for what they described as his purposeful leadership and developmental achievements across the state.

They specifically lauded ongoing and completed projects in Igbere and Bende, including the flag-off of the Umunnato Specialist Hospital as well as the commissioning of the Okafia and Umuisi Primary Healthcare Centres.

The stakeholders also praised the Executive Chairman of Bende Local Government Area, Uwabunkeonye Bassey, for his commitment to grassroots development and support for the people of Igbere Ward B.

The meeting congratulated Dr. Chima Anyaso on emerging as the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency and pledged support for his electoral bid.

Similarly, the stakeholders commended the member representing Bende North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Nnamdi Ibekwe, for what they described as effective representation and efforts towards attracting development to the constituency. They also congratulated him on emerging as the party’s candidate for the Bende North State Constituency seat.

The group further applauded the Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party for providing what it termed an enabling environment for the successful conduct of the party’s primaries, while reaffirming its loyalty and support for his leadership.

The stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence on Dr. Anyaele, commending his efforts in promoting unity, engagement and collaboration among party members and stakeholders in the ward.

They equally praised residents of Igbere Ward B for their peaceful conduct, unity and support during the recently concluded Labour Party primaries.

Reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the party’s structure at the grassroots, the stakeholders pledged to intensify engagement with community groups, stakeholders and eligible voters, while encouraging voter registration ahead of future elections.

They further resolved to work collectively to ensure electoral victories for Labour Party candidates in all forthcoming polls and maintain the party’s stronghold in Igbere Ward B and the wider Bende area.

Among those who attended the meeting were the Councillor representing Igbere Ward B, James Ezeikpe; Elder Okechukwu Uko; Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha; Imo Mascot Obike; Okor Izuka; David Onyeamaeke; the Chairman of the Labour Party in Igbere Ward B, Maxwell Kalu; the Chairman of Abia Arise in Igbere Ward B, Gideon Kalu; and the Chairperson of Onuogu Women, Hanna Micah, alongside other party stakeholders and community leaders.
