Alhaji Ismaila Isa Funtua, 76, one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s closest allies is dead.
Funtua touted to be a member of the ‘Cabal’ – a group of influential persons controlling key governance decisions inside the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, died on Monday from “cardiac arrest” after falling ill for less than two hours.
He was life patron of Newspaper’s Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) and Chairman of Bulet International Construction Company.
He will be buried according to Islamic rites Tuesday.
