Governor Dickson Dissolves Cabinet, Retains CPS

Following the end his first tenure, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has dissolved his cabinet, Punch reports.

However, a Government House statement on Monday, said the governor retained his Chief Press Secretary, Mr, Daniel Iworiso-Markson.

With  the commencement of his second term, the Governor thanked all political appointees, who served in the first tenure for their commitment and dedicated services to the government and people of the state.

According to a Government House statement, Governor Dickson wished them well in all their future endeavours.

The statement, however, pointed out that those whose services might be needed would be reappointed to serve the state in the future.

But barely 24 hours after taking the oath of office for a second term in office, Dickson, has made his first official appointment with the retention of Iworiso-Markson as his CPS.

The appointment of Iworiso-Markson is with immediate effect.

Iworiso-Markson also served in the same capacity from 2012 to the end of the Governor’s first tenure in office.
