Oil Bunkering: We’ll Reveal Identities Of Military Suspects – Militant Group

The Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters of Niger-Delta (SEFFND), a militant group, declared yesterday that it would name military officers involved in crude oil bunkering if the Federal Government had the will to look into the matter and bring criminal charges against the offenders.

After a meeting of the militants in Bayelsa State, self-proclaimed SEFFND General Commanding Officer Agadagba I, aka River Don, said in a statement, “We know those involved, and can mention their names if the federal government can carry out without bias thorough investigations on them.”

The federal government needs to look into how the military officers acquired their homes, bank accounts, and opulent lifestyles in addition to their postings to oil-producing areas.

The group backed Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, the leader of the Niger Delta People Volunteer Force, who claimed last month that the Nigerian Navy and Army had stolen oil from the Niger Delta, saying, “The allegations leveled against the military cannot be farther from the truth.” “Military men are highly responsible for economic sabotage activities such as bunkering and crude oil theft.

The military’s denial of responsibility is demoralizing. We all know they won’t say it out loud, though. The allegations made by Dokubo-Asaro are neither false nor intended to win government favor, but we must categorically state that not all of them are involved in crude oil theft. ‘While we recognize the tremendous sacrifices made by the military during the current democratic era to protect the borders of our beloved country, Dokubo-Asari, a true Nigerian leader, has shown a great deal of respect for the military hierarchy and other fictitious authorities.

The military is free to look into the allegations, but we caution disgruntled parties who may quote Dokubo-Asari out of context in an effort to sour relations between him, law enforcement, and the federal government.

“They should immediately desist from such dubious acts, as no sooner than later, we will catch up with them. We will no longer tolerate and condone such statements and actions that are highly inflammatory and provocative.

We would like to take this opportunity to make it clear that Dokubo-Asari is not at war with the country’s law enforcement agencies because he has been at the forefront of denouncing inaction on hate speech and insightful remarks made by some well-known elites and elder statesmen that could lead to tension, insecurity, and discord among other ethnic nationalities.

Dokubo, a core Muslim, holds fast to his belief that the almighty Allah is against lies and disunity and condemns the actions of terrorist organizations and insurgents ravaging the Northern and Eastern parts of Nigeria without caring whose ox is gored.

The leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo and the Human Rights Writers Association, HURIWA, who have been issuing unwarranted statements based on racial prejudice, religious sentiments, and destructive tendencies to misinform the public, serve as examples of the Supreme Egbesu Freedom Fighters of Niger Delta’s self-centered activities.

“Such statements from Mr. Damian Okereke, Mazi Okwu of Ohaneze Ndigbo, and Mr. Emmanuel Onwudiko, National Coordinator of HURIWA, should cease immediately.
