US Deports 34 Nigerians

The United States has deported 34 Nigerians who arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos Wednesday afternoon.

Thisday reports that the deportees comprised 32 males and two females who were sent home on various offences bordering on homicide, fraud, distributing prohibited items and impersonation, among other offences.

A Lagos Airport source said the deportees arrived aboard a chartered Omni Air International B767 aircraft which landed at 14:35 hours (2:35pm Nigerian time).

The aircraft departed at exactly 4:30 pm.

As of the time of filing this report, relevant security agencies including the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), among others were examining and screening the deportees.
