Nigeria’s President Buhari Traveled Abroad 17 Times In 7 Months [DETAILS]

President Buhari has so far left the country 17 times since he was inaugurated on Friday, May, 29,2015, a report by Punch has revealed.

According to the report, there was no month since June that the President has failed to travel out of the country.

According to the analysis, President Buhari  Buhari travelled out of the country four times in June; three times each in September and November; twice each in July and December; once each in August and October.

On June 3 and 4, President Buhari went to Niger Republic and Chad to discuss ways to end the Boko Haram insurgency ravaging the region.

On June 7, he left for Germany to attend the G-7 Summit and was in South Africa on June 13 for the African Union Summit in continuation of talks on the anti-terrorism fight.

In July, Buhari went on a 4-day trip to United States of America on the 19th and was also in Cameroon for two days on July 29.

On August 1, President Buhari made only one trip when he visited Benin Republic for talks on Boko Haram.

In September, the President travelled to Ghana on the 7th, went to France on the 14th where he spent 3 days before traveling to the US for the 70th United Nations General Assembly on September 24.

In October, he was in India for the Indian-African Forum.

On November 22, he went to Iran third Gas Exporting Countries’ Forum. On November 26, he was in Malta for the 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

On November 29, he was in France for the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference.

In December he travelled to South Africa on the 3rd for the Forum on China/Africa Cooperation in Johannesburg before  going to the Republic of Benin on December 10 for the funeral rites of the late President Mathieu Kerekou.
