Fashola’s Ministerial Portfolio is Ridiculous – Former Minister

Babatunde Fashola (SAN)

By Kayode Sesan

A former Minister of Transport, Chief Ebenezer Babatope has described the appointment of former Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola as Minister of Power, Works and Housing as ridiculous.

According to Daily Independent, Babatope said he wonders how the former governor will cope especially given the fact that the three ministries are powerful ones rolled into one.

Babatope, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Board of Trustees said he will wait and see how the new developments will work out in the near future.

“To me Fashola’s appointment is ridiculous. Power, Works and Housing are three powerful Ministries rolled into one.

“Has he become a superhuman Nigerian to be given Ministries of Power, Housing and Works? I am waiting and I want to see how this will work. These are three powerful ministries rolled into one” Babatope said.
