Piers Morgan has told Arsene Wenger to consider bringing Jamie Vardy to Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Vardy equalled the Premier League record for consecutive goals by scoring in a 10th successive match as Leicester City beat Newcastle United 3-0 to go top of the table on Saturday afternoon.
The 28-year-old Leicester forward has been in sublime form for Claudio Ranieri’s men so far this season and has already netted 13 goals for his side to help them top the Premier League table.
Arsenal slumped to a 2-1 loss to West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
Celebrity Arsenal fan and club shareholder Morgan feels that Wenger should consider bringing Vardy to Arsenal in the new year, likening the striker to a “young Michael Owen”.
Morgan tweeted on Sunday morning:
Arsenal could do worse than sign Vardy in January. He looks the real deal – like the young Michael Owen. #afc

However, Gary Lineker was quick to respond to Morgan by telling him to forget the possibility of Arsenal signing the Premier League’s most in-form forward.
Lineker tweeted:
Hands off, Tubs! https://t.co/v6x2wIQFRk
