APC Fixes N22.5m for Bayelsa, Kogi Gov Nomination Forms

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress has stated that nomination forms for the governorship election in Kogi and Bayelsa states would be sold for N22.5m.

The party said this in a statement by its National Organising Secretary, Emma Ibediro, while announcing the timetable for the governorship primaries in the states.

The party said the forms would be available for sale starting today (Wednesday), stating that the Expression of Interest goes for N2.5m while the nomination form is N20m.

The statement read, “In line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission’s guidelines, the All Progressives Congress hereby releases this timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2019 governorship primary elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.”

Ibediro said the forms could be obtained at the APC National Secretariat and that the sale would end on August 20, 2019.

The statement said the last day for submission of completed forms was August 21, adding that the screening of aspirants would hold on August 22 while the screening of appeal was August 23.

It said the primary election would hold on August 29 while the election appeal was slated for September 2.

“There shall be no separate charges for deputy. Female and physically challenged aspirants (get) 50 per cent of the prescribed fees for each position.

“All payments should be made in full directly into the designated bank accounts of the All Progressives Congress,” the statement said.
