Former Vice-President and Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is in Abuja and has not travelled out of Nigeria to the United States, SIGNAL can report.
Widespread media reports on Saturday indicated he had obtained a US visa and jetted out of the country to the United States through the United Kingdom.
But an informed source at the Atiku presidential campaign headquarters told SIGNAL on Saturday, the report is false. “Atiku left for London on Friday morning and came back today. He is in Abuja as I speak”, the source who did not want to be named said.
The source however neither denied nor confirmed reports that Atiku has obtained a travel visa to the United States.
