Buhari to Swear-in Cabinet On Wednesday

Yemi Adebowale

President Muhammadu Buhari may assign portfolios and administer the oath of office on his ministers “most likely on Wednesday”, sources close to the Aso Rock Villa disclosed to SIGNAL on Friday.

A source who did not want to be named noted that barring any last minute changes, President Buhari will assign portfolios and swear-in his newly confirmed ministers on Wednesday.

“The inauguration will happen Wednesday next week from all indications except the President changes his mind”, the source said.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, has however disclosed that only the president would communicate when he would inaugurate his cabinet.

Adesina, who said he could not confirm exactly when the ministers-designate would be sworn in, added they would be duly notified ahead of the ceremony.
