Buhari’s Men Frustrating Anti-Corruption War – Ijaw National Congress

The spokesperson for the Ijaw National Congress, Victor Burubo, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to be wary of those secretly frustrating his anti-corruption war in his government, Punch reports.

Burubo, who commended the President for his campaign against corruption, however said it was unfortunate that some aides of the President do not share his vision.

In an interview with our correspondent on Monday, the INC spokesperson said for the international community to take the Federal Government seriously on the anti-corruption war, President Buhari must probe those who tried to pad the 2016 budget.

He said, “We are not satisfied with the ongoing anti-corruption war because we want the President to begin the cleansing from within his government. If the President means business, he should punish those responsible for the padding of the 2016 budget. President Buhari is a good man but the people around him cannot be trusted. They are frustrating the anti-corruption war.”
