The crisis rocking Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is far from over as one of the governorship aspirants, Ambassador Dare Bejide, has described the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, as a “stranger whose imposition must be resisted by wellmeaning party members.
” Governor Ayo Fayose and his loyalists in the party on September 6 adopted Olusola as “the sole candidate” and their preferred choice for the July 14, 2018 governorship election. Many party chieftains and members are kicking against Olusola’s choice which they described as “imposition and an attempt to shut out other aspirants.” Speaking on Thursday while on a familiarisation tour to Ekiti West and Efon Local Government Areas, Bejide urged agitated PDP leaders and members to disregard Olusola’s adoption for the party flag ahead of next year’s poll.
