JUST IN | Former Thisday Editor Joins Race for PDP National Publicity Secretary

Ace journalist and former Deputy Editor of Thisday Newspapers, Hon. Kola Ologbondiyan has joined the race for the National Publicity Secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Kogi born Ologbondiyan, who has already picked his nomination was also Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to former Senate President David Mark and a strong stakeholder at the state and national levels of the party.

With his professional expertise and wealth of political experience, Ologbondiyan’s entrance into the race has raised the bar for the contest for the specialized position which requires high-level cognate professional proficiency.

Ologbondiyan grew through the ranks in his professional and political callings. He was Group Political Editor of Thisday Newspapers and as a correspondent, covered several high profile political beats including, the Presidency, National Assembly, State Government Houses and political parties.

A graduate of the University of Lagos and holder of a PGD in Journalism from the institute of Journalism, Lagos, Ologbondiyan is well-versed in Nigerian political evolution with strong institution memory of activities of the PDP.

Ologbondiyan brings to the table his vast knowledge, goodwill and contacts in both the media and political circles. He has been a loyal and active participant in PDP activities and contested the party’s House of Representatives primaries in 2011. He has since remained active in propagating the positive image of the PDP at all levels of participation.
