Embattled Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali, has again failed to honour an invitation by the Nigerian Senate to appear before it, on Wednesday.
Senate president Bukola Saraki read Ali’s letter saying he was bereaved and could not show up before the Senate.
But the senators kicked and called on the Senate leadership to compel Ali to appear before the upper house of legislature on Thursday.
Some of the senators who kicked at Ali’s decision said the institution cannot afford to join issues with him but will compel him to do as the lawmakers want.
