Nigeria’s independence in 1960 from Great Britain came too early, an opinion poll conducted on micro-blogging site, Twitter has revealed.
According to the poll, 46% of all 936 respondents in the poll conducted by SIGNAL between Monday and Tuesday declared that Nigeria was not prepared for independence in 1960.
Curiously, another 30% voted they wished Nigeria had remained a British colony while the minority 24% said Nigeria was ready for independence in 1960.
