Funeral Rites For The Mother Of Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye – Late Mama Deaconess Comfort Melaye

The funeral rites for the late mother of Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West in the National Assembly – Mama Deaconess Comfort Melaye – will take place between Friday 12 and Saturday 13, July, 2019 at the Aiyetoro Gbede country home of the Melayes in Kogi State.

Mama Melaye died at age of 70 on Thursday, May 2, 2019 after a brief illness in Aiyetoro Gbede in the presence of her family members.

The details of the events are as follows:

Friday, July 12, 2019 – Wake Keep at the residence of the patriach of the Melaye family, Elder Jonah E. Melaye, Jesus Street, Iluafon Quarters, Aiyetoro Gbede by 5:00pm prompt.

Saturday, July 13, 2019 – Lying In State at Elder J.E. Melaye’s residence on Saturday from 8:00am to 10:00am afterwhich her body will be committed to mother earth at the Melayes’ Family Compound immediately.

Later on the same day, Saturday, July 13, 2019 – A Funeral Service will hold in her honour at the The Apostolic Church, Iluafon Assembly in Aiyetoro Gbede by 11:00am prompt.

Thereafter, guests will be entertained at the Girls Secondary School playground, Aiyetoro Gbede, from 1:00pm.

Prominent Nigerians from all walks of life, constituents of Senator Melaye, his colleagues and other members of the National Assembly (past and present), friends and associates, among other well-meaning Nigerians, who had earlier commiserated with him over the death of his dear mother, are expected as guests at the occasion.

Late Mama Deaconess Comfort Melaye is survived by her husband, Elder J.E. Melaye and children including Senator Dino Melaye, among other relations.
