A gunman is on the run after shooting three people including a four-year-old child in Orlando, according to police.
The attack, which left with the child and two adults with non-life threatening injuries, took place in Altamonte Springs at 10pm local time.
Officers chased the shooter about three miles to an apartment block where he crashed into several cars and was able to run away.
A police spokesman said the victims, who have not been named, are in a stable condition after being rushed to a local hospital.
The shooting comes just a week after Islamist gunman Omar Mateen, 29, slaughtered 49 people at a popular gay nightclub in the same city.
Earlier this week the FBI released transcripts of conversations between Mateen and emergency services following the sickening massacre.
The warped militant, who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State terror group, told a 911 operator: “I’m in Orlando and I did the shootings.”
